The VI Student Scientific Session of the School of Management and Banking in Krakow was held on June 7. The event was attended by about 70 people, including lecturers, supervisors of Study Groups operating at WSZiB and students – members of Study Groups.
The session was opened by the Rector of the School of Management and Banking, Krzysztof Roszczynialski, MA. The event was moderated by Justyna Michniak-Szladerba, PhD, Rector’s Plenipotentiary for Academic Circles.
As expert practitioners, we hosted the following representatives of the business world:
1. Aleksandra Lach-Romańska
Entrepreneur and mental coach. She runs one of the largest swimming schools in Lesser Poland. She manages a team of 40 people. She is also involved in rental and property management.
2. Karolina Purłan-Leśniak
Co-owner of Performance Digital, a consulting firm that implements B2B marketing and sales strategies for.
3. Katarzyna Szaniewska
Master’s degree in economics with a specialization in economic and financial analysis, senior specialist in indirect taxation, team coordinator at Heineken Krakow.
4. Joanna Brandys
A lecturer with 25 years of experience, with an equally long track record of teaching and training using Marketplace simulations.
5. Tomasz Rojek
A graduate of the School of Management and Banking as well as Jagiellonian University with experience working in the UK and Switzerland as a web developer and team leader.
Eleven lectures were delivered in the following areas: management, marketing, accounting and information technology. The lectures included not only the theoretical but also the empirical aspects.
The Session participants have the opportunity to prepare a scientific article based on their lectures and suggestions from experts. The articles, upon positive review, will be published in a special issue of the Academic Journal of WSZiB. In addition, the editorial board of Multis Multum magazine will select papers whose topics correspond to those of the upcoming issue and contact their authors to propose publication.
